• It used to be so common to use a phrase like sell out but now people are like ‘everyones gotta get paid, don’t you want money?’. Fuck that man, music is not about making money, if you make some money that’s cool. I want to make money but I owe something to people that have come to my shows and listened to my albums over the years, if I turn around and do some bullshit that completely undermines everything I have said up until this point what am I? I’m a sell out because I sold my own identity for cash and the community that supported me for years to get where I’m at. There are certain people that I’ve dealt with over the years that I look back upon and I think ‘how do they sleep at night?’. They basically sold out all the values that they preached, there is so much of that. If that ever happens to me I need to just quit, move out of the city where the rent is cheap and get a day job.
